Backstage Cigars ("we", "us") runs this members' website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Application details: your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, business, job title, how you heard about us, and anything you tell us in your application.
• Membership details: your plan, member number, membership dates, locker and key card records, invoices, payment history, and notes our staff record about your membership.
• Payment information: online card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep the amount, date and Stripe reference.
• Purchase information: to track monthly minimum spend, we may match purchases made at the lounge in our point-of-sale system (Toast) to your membership.
• Technical information: one session cookie keeps you signed in. Our hosting and security providers may log your IP address and browser details to protect the site.
• Communications: the emails we send you and whether they were delivered.

How we use it

• To review your application, arrange your interview and manage your membership.
• To take payments, send receipts and remind you about renewals.
• To confirm age and eligibility. Members and guests must be 21 or older.
• To run the lounge safely, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To tell you about member events and news. If you agree to text messages, we may also text you; reply STOP at any time to opt out.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the membership, and only as needed:

• Stripe, for card payments
• Postmark, our email delivery provider
• Our website hosting and security providers
• Toast, our point-of-sale provider

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of the lounge, our members or others.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including legal, tax and accounting requirements. Payment records are generally kept for up to seven years.

Security

Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form, connections to the site are encrypted, and access to member records is limited to authorized staff. No system is completely secure, so please tell us right away if you suspect someone has accessed your account.

Your choices

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop marketing messages, by contacting us. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.

Age requirement

Our membership and this website are for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
